Braves select contract of Zach Logue, option Allan Winans, transfer Michael Harris to 60-day injured list

The roster shuffle continues for the Atlanta Braves. After falling to the Cincinnati Reds in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader, the Braves announced that they have selected the contract of left-hander Zach. To make room on the active roster, Atlanta optioned Allan Winans back to Gwinnett. To open up a spot on the 40-man roster for Logue, Atlanta transferred Michael Harris to the 60-day injured list.

Logue has appeared in 18 games for Gwinnett where he had a 3.08 ERA and a 3.96 FIP in 73 innings. He made his major league debut in 2023, appearing in three games with Detroit. Winans allowed six hits and seven runs in just 2 23 innings in his second game of the season.

The big news here is Harris who went on the injured list back on June 15. Harris was on the field working out during pregame but isn’t far enough along to be ready for a rehab assignment. This will his potential return off until at least the middle of August.
