The hits keep coming for the Atlanta Braves who already lost Max Fried on Sunday and now may have also lost Ozzie Albies. Albies left Sunday’s game in the ninth inning after catching his glove hand on Michael Siani on a stolen base attempt. Albies was clearly in pain and the hand appeared to be showing some swelling as he was attended to by team trainers.

Zack Short replaced Albies at second base. We will provide updates as soon as they become available.
Albies missed time earlier in the season with a fractured toe. He entered Sunday hitting .255/.308/.403 with eight home runs and a 98 wRC+ in 390 plate appearances.
UPDATE – The extent of Albies’ injury is still unknown, but Brian Snitker confirmed during the postgame that he will be going on the injured list.
“It’s not good.”
