The Atlanta Braves and will try to even their series against the St. Louis Cardinals when the two teams meet again Tuesday night. Reynaldo López will get the start for Atlanta while Kyle Gibson will be on the mound for St. Louis.
Zack Short will make his first start at shortstop for the Braves in place of Orlando Arcia. Arcia left Monday’s game after experiencing dizziness. Brian Snitker said after the game that they would likely give Arcia a day off on Tuesday. Travis d’Arnaud is back in the lineup and hitting sixth.
For the Cardinals, Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado both return to the lineup after sitting out the opener. Matt Carpenter will serve as the DH is hitting eighth.
First pitch for Tuesday’s game is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET and can be seen on Bally Sports South.
