We wrap up the final two rounds of the NFL Draft, and if you are expecting difference-makers here, you have to lower your expectations. Most players selected in these rounds are long shots for fantasy relevance, and many will struggle just to make the final roster.
Tight ends in these rounds usually don’t carry much fantasy value, so you can often avoid them altogether in rookie drafts. Quarterbacks still have a small chance because opportunity can change quickly in the NFL, but the hit rates remain very low. Running backs in this range face a major uphill battle as late-round backs without strong draft capital rarely turn into elite fantasy producers.
That said, there are still a few players worth mentioning who could be worth drafting late and seeing what happens. These are usually taxi squad stashes—players with athletic upside, open depth charts, or a pathway to opportunity if things break their way.

Cleveland Browns – Taylen Green QB (182nd Pick)
To start the final two rounds of the NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns selected the very athletic quarterback Taylen Green. Green dominated the NFL Combine with his athletic testing, making him at least interesting for fantasy football. The biggest red flag is that Green’s passing ability remains a question if he can succeed at the NFL level.
Green will get a chance to compete for the Browns starting job, which is still wide open. He is likely an upside QB depth piece in deeper dynasty leagues and worth taking a shot on.
Projected Rookie Draft Selection: 3.08 – 4.05
Washington Commanders – Kaytron Allen RB (187th Pick)
The name may not stick out to many, but Kaytron Allen landing in the 6th round with the Commanders does offer some value. Allen is a patient, downhill runner who was very productive at the college level and consistently picked up chunk yards. He isn’t overly explosive, and his receiving ability is average.
There is a path for him to see early-down work with Rachaad White and Jacory Croskey-Merritt as the top two backs in Washington. If JCM fails to lock down his role, that could open the door for Allen to see production as a rookie. He is one of those contending-team picks who could help early, but the long-term value remains cloudy.
Projected Rookie Draft Selection: 3.05 – 4.03
Las Vegas Raiders – Malik Benson WR (195th Pick)
Malik Benson out of Oregon has a small chance to carve out a role in the Raiders’ offense. He has blazing speed and does well attacking vertically downfield. Benson stands out because the Raiders receiver room is still fairly open for someone to step up.
He may end up being primarily a special teams player, but he is still worth a stash on deeper taxi squads and dynasty benches.
Projected Rookie Draft Selection: 4.08 – Undrafted

Minnesota Vikings – Demond Claiborne RB (198th Pick)
We had another running back land in the 6th round in a potentially favorable spot with Demond Claiborne and the Vikings. Claiborne brings 4.37 speed to his game, along with good vision and the ability to make defenders miss in the open field.
He may begin as a special teams player and likely opens as the RB3 on the depth chart. However, with Aaron Jones’ injury history, Claiborne could get a chance to see the field in Year 1.
Projected Rookie Draft Selection: 4.01 – 4.12
Indianapolis Colts – Seth McGowan RB (237th Pick)
The Colts landed a big-bodied running back in Seth McGowan during the 7th round. McGowan is a tough runner who gets downhill with physicality and has the size to contribute well in pass protection.
He will compete with DJ Giddens for the backup job behind Jonathan Taylor. McGowan likely doesn’t carry much immediate fantasy value outside of a taxi squad stash, but he is worth monitoring to see if he can carve out a role behind an aging starter.
Projected Rookie Draft Selection: 4.06 – Undrafted
Kansas City Chiefs – Garrett Nussmeier QB (249th Pick)
The Chiefs selected Garrett Nussmeier in the 7th round. Nussmeier fell hard in this draft after once being viewed as a better prospect than some of the quarterbacks who ended up going in Round 3. The landing spot is not ideal for immediate opportunity.
His 2025 injury played a major role in his regression last season. I still think he has the talent to stick as a long-term backup, but he likely won’t see much playing time as long as he is in Kansas City. His only small window may come if Patrick Mahomes isn’t ready for Week 1 and he can beat out Justin Fields, though that remains unlikely.
At best, he is a taxi squad stash with hopes the Chiefs eventually move on and he gets another opportunity elsewhere.
Projected Rookie Draft Selection: 4.10 – Undrafted
Indianapolis Colts – Deion Burks WR (254th Pick)
The Colts landed speedy receiver Deion Burks late in the draft. He is a solid route runner with enough speed to take the top off a defense. Burks is a smaller receiver, which may limit his role early.
He is likely to begin as a special teams player, but there is enough talent there for him to eventually work his way into offensive snaps.
Projected Rookie Draft Selection: 4.10 – Undrafted
